River West is sending a mission team, led by On Eagles Wings, to Fort Smith, NWT, to run a children's after-school camp and minister to the Dene & Metis people! The trip will last 8 days, with 6 days spent in the community.

Known long ago as the gateway to the Northwest Territories, Fort Smith lies along the Slave River and boasts a rich heritage, a vast national park and the world’s largest Dark Sky Reserve. Traditionally known as Thebacha, or “Beside the Rapids,” Fort Smith is home to about 2,500 people – and lots of wildlife.

A team of 6 individuals from River West will be driving to Fort Smith and the cost per person for will be approximately $800-$1000.

To help support this trip, please bring your bottles and cans on Sunday, June 22—every bit helps our team prepare for this important outreach!  Plus, don’t miss the silent art auction featuring works by River West artists. All proceeds go directly to the On Eagles Wings trip.
