Return. Rebuild. Repent.
These are the words that echo through Ezra which documents the return of the exiles from Babylon. Through his narrative, Ezra declares that they are still God’s people and that God has not forgotten them.
In the book of Ezra, we witness the rebuilding of the new temple, the unification of the returning tribes, and lastly a spiritual revival. In our time, could Ezra be a reminder to return to the ways of God, to rebuild what has crumbled, and to repent of our own sin?
